New User Registrations

Postby John » Mon Nov 09, 2015 7:47 pm

Following the recent updates to the site I have been manually reviewing and activating new user registrations to avoid spambots, unfortunately this has often resulted in anything up to a 72 hour delay before a new account can be reviewed and activated. I have installed a script today that will hopefully eliminate most of the spambot problems and prevent the long waits for activation, this is achieved by checking the details of a new user registrations against a number of popular anti-spambot databases.

Note: It is important that new users must supply a valid e-mail address so a confirmation link can be sent, without a valid e-mail address you will not be able to activate your account.

Update - 14 Nov 2015: If you are incorrectly identified as a spammer and are unable to register, please contact me and I will get you registered.

Klingon Academy & Windows 10

Postby John » Mon Aug 24, 2015 4:36 pm

It's been a while since I sat down and tried to play Klingon Academy but today I gave it a quick go on the latest version of Windows, I'm pleased to say it worked perfectly with the patches released by Komat. The screenshots below were taken on Windows 10 - 64-Bit, they show the K'Tinga D7 mod by ~«Möôñråkêr»~ going up against the standard Constitution that shipped with the game.

The patches by Komat fix numerous issues with running Klingon Academy on modern hardware and operating systems, full details are available at his website here.

Site Update

Postby John » Tue Aug 18, 2015 2:13 pm

Welcome to KlingonAcademy.com

A minor (forget that, ended up being a little more involved than planned) site update is in progress at the moment, if you spot any problems please send me a PM and I will do my best to fix them. User registration is open again however for the time being I will manually review and activate accounts as they are created just until I get an idea of how bad the potential spam/bot problem is.
