Are you going to bother with the variable geometry idea that FASA's writeup described for the wings? Without extensive re-aligning, it wouldn't work, since the original artist didn't draw the hinge/fins with their axis lined up properly. Looks better fixed in that position anyhow.
I take it you're going to put a set of disruptors in the 'claws'?:D:D

Check to make sure that the textures are 24-bit, and that their names are no more than 8 characters long. It shouldn't be a matter of exceeding the 256 pixel limit, since that crashes the game.
Your best bet to get the detail on her is to put those upraised sections onto the textures rather than building them into the mesh. That's one of the annoying things about modding, what details to give up to the textures, and what can you get away with on the mesh...
