Klingon Academy Combined Patch 1.02r4

Updated releases of a combined patch for Klingon Academy are now available here, these will hopefully provide a more streamlined experience of getting Klingon Academy up and running on modern operating systems.

A combined patch for Klingon Academy UK & US / German that includes:

- Klingon Academy Patch 1.02 by Interplay
- Multithreading & Rendering Fixes (v1.22) by Komat
- Replacement Launcher (Includes wrapper configuration options) by John
- Screenshot Fix

This patch assumes that you have freshly installed Klingon Academy from the original Interplay CD installation media on Windows 7 x86/x64 or above which also has the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or above installed for the replacement launcher.

Extract the downloaded zip file and run the extracted Klingon_Academy_1.02.r4_US_UK.exe / Klingon_Academy_1.02.r4_DE.exe. Please note, if you have installed Klingon Academy outside of the default installation directory you will need to select the correct directory when applying the patch.

Issues fixed in 1.02r4:

- Launcher settings page was very slow to load.
- Launcher theme music did not play under some conditions.

Replacement Launcher Known Issues:

- Closing the settings page by pressing ALT+F4 instead of the "OK" button will freeze the launcher, if this happens the only way to close the launcher is via Task Manager.
- Disable Depth Buffer option should be auto disabled an machines with ATI graphics cards (Vendor ID 1002), this is done by Komats wrapper anyway but the launcher should behave the same.

General Klingon Academy Issues:

- Video playback for the debrief after Mission 9 was switched around.

Issues fixed and will be included in r5.

Just signed up to download the patch - it works perfectly with Windows 10 (the only issue being having to tell Norton to stuff its warnings!), and is absolutely fabulous to play with.

Thank you so much for keeping this game playable decades after its release!

Glad u got it working! I think it runs better on Windows 10 than it ever did. This patch is genius!
